Jaxal Ab from Övertorneå, Sweden, and Muovitekniikka Oy Europlast from Nakkila, Finland, join forces

The recently founded Nordic Plast Oy has acquired the entire share capital of Jaxal Ab and Muovitekniikka Oy Europlast in a deal concluded on 10 December 2020. Jaxal Ab, based in Övertorneå, Sweden, and Muovitekniikka Oy Europlast, based in Nakkila, Finland, are both focused on the production of large products using vacuum forming. The company is particularly known for manufacturing trailer covers for passenger vehicles. The company also manufactures parts for outdoor hot tubs, as well as other large subcontracted products.

Nordic Plast Oy is, for the most part, owned by its senior management, namely Ville Laitinen, Timo Jaako and Heikki Lehtimäki. 

Both companies will continue to operate in their current form and premises. In the current financial year, the company’s net sales have amounted to approximately EUR 11 million. The company employs a total of 47 persons.  Nordic Plast’s management believes that the company can grow significantly over the next few years.

We have a solid foundation for moving forward and will invest even more heavily in development in the future.”
